Principal Investigator (PI)

I am an Assistant Professor in the department of Electrical Engineering at New Mexico Tech. I have completed my M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), USA in 2021 and 2022 respectively. Before joining UTSA, I received B.Sc. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh in 2014. My research interest focuses on human factors and their impacts on cybersecurity, cyber-psychological assessment in cyber threat detection, and intelligent transportation system security. My research interest also includes AI security, computer vision, micro-expression analysis and intelligent sound synthesis.

Undergraduate Student Researcher

My name is Marcus, I'm an electrical engineering undergrad at NMT and am currently specializing in mechatronics and science communication, although I have also been lucky enough to get quite a lot of machine learning experience from my time working with this lab. My research so far with the AIVSL has been primarily focused on hybrid computation approaches to machine learning and their applications in robotics. Despite the seemingly never-ending complexities and challenges of this project, I'm very optimistic about this direction in computer architecture, and I both hope and expect my time with the AIVSL to be relevant to me for the rest of my engineering career.
